      CLASSIFICATION TITLE
    INFANT AND EARLY LEARNING CENTER (IELC) COORDINATOR


    SUMMARY
    This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Infant and Early Learning Centers. It provides coordinating services such as staff scheduling, supervision and training; parent communications; facility maintenance and security. This position insures the health, safety and emotional well-being of children and staff.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    At least 21 years of age
    Arizona Teaching Certificate with Structure English Immersion (SEI) with Early Childhood Endorsement
    OR
    6 Months Child Care experience
    AND
    A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or a closely related field
    Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend
    written/graphic and oral instructions.

    Required to work shifts, evenings, weekends, training holidays, and/or in various situations at other locations.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelors Degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development or closely related field
    AND
    One (1) year previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director in childcare serving infants through preschool
    Principal or Administrative certification


    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
    FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
    Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
    CPR and First Aid Certification. Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.
    Blood Borne Pathogens Training
    Post Offer/Pre Employment - A Physical Examination by one of the clinics with which the District contracts (Category B) and a Lift Test required (At employee’s expense)
    Valid AZ Driver's License required within 10 days of hire. Must not have accrued eight points against driver’s license within the past two years.

    LOCATION - Brichta based (Speedway & Silverbell)
    1.0 FTE - 8 hours per day
    12 month position
    EXC - Grade 1
    Starting Salary $50,131.42

    Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
