Collaborates with District staff, parents and students to identify high risk students for future prevention services. May visit students and parents in the home to determine cause for absenteeism, academic or discipline problems. Monitors these students as they enter and go through school to determine impact of prevention activities.
Valid Arizona teaching Certificate
Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Five years teaching experience including three years at the middle or high school level required.
Verbal & Written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Driver’s license required: AZ Driver’s License required within ten days of hire.
Requires reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence insurance compliance; a copy of ADOT Insurance I.D. Card must be submitted at time of application; coverage must be valid throughout term of employment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

MAGNET HIRING INCENTIVE
Tucson Unified School District will pay a Magnet Recruitment Incentive of $2500 that will be available to new to the district incoming certified teachers who are hired in magnet strand teaching positions at Magnet Schools.
Temporary Contracts are issued after Labor Day and/or for vacancies of .6 FTE or less for the remainder of the school year only. Temporary Contracts may be eligible for conversion.
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
