DUAL LANGUAGE INCENTIVE 2018-2019 SY
Tucson Unified School District will pay a Dual-Language Recruitment and Retention Incentive Stipend of $5000 that will be available to new-to-the-District incoming certified teachers and to certified teachers who currently work for the District that meet the following criteria:
· The teacher must work for the District full-time in a dual-language classroom
· The teacher must have a Teaching Certificate with Spanish bilingual endorsement from the Arizona Department of Education
The stipend will be prorated based on the FTE of the coursework. Qualified recipients who are working for the District at the end of the Fall Semester will receive $2500 in December 2018. Qualified recipients who are working for the District at the completion of their 2018-2019 contract will receive $2500 in May 2019.
Temporary Contracts are issued after Labor Day and/or for vacancies of .6 FTE or less for the remainder of the school year only. Temporary Contracts may be eligible for conversion.
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
