Summary: Position will provide classroom instruction at multi grade levels and participate in administration of annual GATE testing. Provides instruction at multiple sites with multiple age groups. Must be willing to work flexible schedule, travel within district. May have some Saturday and evening responsibilites. Manage curriculum materials. Must be willing to collaborate for yearly lesson planning and implementation. Gifted endorsed or willing to pursue. Outreach and professional development activities. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction and testing responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Arizona Elementary Certificate AND GATE K-12 Endorsement or a Provisional GATE K-12 Endorsement preferred or willing to pursue and complete by end of 2018-2019 school year. Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED UPON HIRE: Provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization. FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
COMMENTS - AFTER JULY 1st ONLY OUT OF DISTRICT MAY APPLY 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR LOCATION - Various Sites 1.0 FTE - 7.5 hours per day 9.5 month position TEMPORARY FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY
Temporary Contracts are issued after Labor Day and/or for vacancies of .6 FTE or less for the remainder of the school year only. Temporary Contracts may be eligible for conversion.
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
