    Senior Manager of Application and Data Services


    SUMMARY
    The Senior Manager of Application and Data Services plans, coordinates, and supervises teams and activities related to the design, development, implementation and support of district application software and systems, database and reporting systems and related functions. This person directs and guides team members, reviews project requests, timelines and costs. Interfaces with stakeholders across the district to assess project requests, establish project priorities and manage projects to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Develops, distributes, supports, enforces and integrates best practices in technology standards across the team. Effectively tracks and annotates work performed according to policies, procedures and performance standards established by the district and/or the department. Develops, tracks and reports on key performance indicators for services within domain of responsibility.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
    OR
    Five years of experience of day to day operations and management of business applications, preferably in a K-12 school district environment.
    AND
    Three years of supervisory experience managing applications support organization.

    Substantial experience working with applications design, integration and implementation.

    Ability to learn quickly, grasp new concepts and work with limited supervision.

    Strong problem solving skills with a disciplined and structured approach to
    problem solving methodologies.

    Superior written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Substantial experience working with Synergy® SIS in a management or product specialist capacity.

    Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as iVisions.

    Experience with applications development, design and implementation.

    Experience with database design, development, implementation, and operations.

    Business intelligence and data warehousing experience.
