Application Analyst - Attendance Staff Mentor (Effective 2021-2022 School Year))
Job Description
SUMMARY
The Attendance Staff Mentor provides support and training to District attendance and office staff. Responsible for the design, and development of training resources for school office staff. Works on special projects and serves as a liaison to District Administration in carrying out audits and enrollment-based funding applications. Collects and analyzes data in response to requests and identifying process shortfalls.
This position includes traveling to multiple school sites to work with staff and collaborating with district content area specialists to support office procedures. Point of contact for school office staff to help improve staff skills and capacity through on-site coaching and mentoring. Helps new staff become familiar with school and district procedures and resources. Working under the supervision of the School Office Coordinator, this position is pivotal to increasing the capacity of school office staff and improving the district’s service delivery at school sites.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Six (6) years of experience in a business/school office
OR
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field AND Two (2) years experience in a school/business office
OR
Associates degree in business, accounting, or a related field AND Four (4) years experience in a business/school office
The successful candidate will demonstrate
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Proficient Computer Skills using word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs (Microsoft Office)
Extensive customer service experience
Demonstrated experience with analysis and problem-solving in a technical environment.
Organizational skills.
Any combination of experience, training, or education
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Student Information System reporting and data analysis
Procedural training experience and performing skill assessments
Supervisory experience
Bilingual/biliterate English and Spanish
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Driver’s License
MVReport - showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state-required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

Classification: Supervisory/Professional
FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
