REPORTS TO: Principal
We are looking for New and Experienced Assistant Principals to join our team and foster a healthy learning environment for our students. Your primary responsibilities will be to supervise our education staff and oversee day-to-day school operations. To succeed in this role, you should be able to make quick decisions under pressure and have a comprehensive understanding of the national education system and its regulations. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are also important skills you should demonstrate as an Assistant Principal.
The Assistant Principal supports the School Principal to provide leadership and management of a school that is focused on student learning, achievement, relationships, communication, and efficient operations. Promotes the success of students by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a 21st Century vision of learning that is shared and supported by the school community.
Master's Degree in Educational Administration or Curriculum and Instruction or related field
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Arizona Principal Certificate
Three years of teaching experience
Demonstrated background or experience in school leadership including supervision/management and/or teamwork
Experience using technology as an instructional tool and technology applications
Experience or knowledge of 21st Century Learning
Experience in public speaking
Experience developing student-specific interventions, curriculum and instruction, special education, and language acquisition programs
Demonstrated success in improving student achievement.
Educational experience in a diverse setting
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
Effective: 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR
FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 months
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE ADMINISTRATIVE HIRING PROCESS:
- The first review of applications will begin on March 13th, 2022, and reviews will take place weekly until vacancies are filled.
- Upon submission of a successfully completed application, you will be invited to respond to a one-way video screener
- Based on the initial screening of your application and video responses, you may be invited to an interview (Zoom or In-person) with a panel of the District Leadership team.
- Following district leadership interviews, successful candidates will be matched with prospective School sites for School Site panel Interviews.
- Superintendent Recommendation to the Governing Board for Appointment.
Employment for the 2022-2023 School Year begins for High School Assistant Principals on July 1st, 2022.
