Provides leadership and management of a school that is focused on 21st Century student learning and achievement, relationships and communication, and efficient operations. Promotes the success of each student by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation and stewardship of a 21st Century vision of learning that is shared and supported by the school community. The Sabino High School Assistant Principal is primarily responsible for directing and coordinating all activities of the Athletics Department and the operation, management, and budgeting of Athletics and related activities while ensuring the education of athletes is in alignment with the Tucson Unified School District mission and vision.
Master's Degree in Educational Administration or Curriculum and Instruction or related field
Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Arizona Principal Certificate
Three years teaching experience
Demonstrated background or experience in school leadership including supervision/management and/or team work
Experience using technology as an instructional tool and technology applications
Experience or knowledge of 21st Century Learning
Experience in public speaking
Experience developing student specific interventions, curriculum and instruction, special education and language acquisition programs
Demonstrated success in improving student achievement.
Educational experience in a diverse setting
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

1.0 FTE - 8 hours per day
ELI - Grade 3-A
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
The hiring range for external candidates will be $74,949.73 to $87,014.31, based on experience.
