Buildings & Grounds Equipment Operator (Effective 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR)

SUMMARY
Operates equipment used for facilities maintenance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Three years experience operating a variety of industrial equipment
OR
Equivalent trade school training.
Valid Class B CDL, with the requirement of getting their Class A CDL with air brake endorsement within 6 months.
Mechanical skills or experience.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Must hold a current Arizona Driver’s license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Post-offer/pre-employment lift test.
ADOT (Arizona Dept. of Transportation) Medical Certificate required after hire.

Classification: Blue Collar - Grade: 7

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
