Childcare Support, Roving (Effective 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR)
Job Description
SUMMARY
Childcare Support staff is responsible the implementation of daily activities and lessons. The childcare support staff are responsible for the supervision and safety of all children assigned to his/her their care and for facilitating communication between staff members assigned to their team. Location may be dependent on department needs, and program staffing. Childcare Support Staff, Roving must be flexible to work at multiple sites.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
AZ Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
CPR and First Aid Certification. Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
Must be flexible and willing to travel to multiple sites
Valid Driver’s License
MVReport - showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training or education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Six (6) months of childcare experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening test, administered within 12 months before the start date; or if a candidate has had a positive test, a written statement signed and dated by a health care provider within six months before the start date stating candidate is free from infectious active tuberculosis. A negative tuberculosis screening test is required every 12 months of employment.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
