Community Education Site Lead (Effective 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR)
Supports the daily operations of the Community School programs at assigned sites. Ensures site compliance with District policies and regulations, and State and Federal guidelines. Communicates daily with staff, parents, principals, and supervisors to maintain the overall quality of the program. Actively participates in, and plans daily activities for sites.
Scheduled work hours will reflect the programmatic needs of the sites assigned.
Must meet one of the qualifications listed in the Arizona Department of Health Services Administrative Rules as listed below:
A) 24 Months of Child Care experience, a high school or high school equivalency diploma AND:
At least 6 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or related field; OR 60 hours of instruction provided in conferences, seminars, workshops in the areas stated above And an additional 12 hours of instruction provided in conferences, seminar, and workshops in the area of program administration, planning, development, or management
B) 18 Months Child Care experience AND
Child Development Associate (C.D.A.) or Certified Childcare Professional (C.C.P) or National Administrator Credential (N.A.C.) Certification as issued by the National Child Care Association OR at least 24 credit hours from an accredited college or university including 6 credit hours in early childhood, child development, or a related field
C) 6 Months Child Care experience AND An associate degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood or child development
D) 3 Months Child Care experience AND A bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or a closely related field
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to supervise at least 100 children.
Experience supervising employees and children.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Arizona Level One IVP Fingerprint Card
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening test, administered within 12 months before the start date; or if a candidate has had a positive test, a written statement signed and dated by a health care provider within six months before the start date stating candidate is free from infectious active tuberculosis.

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
