Job Description


This position provides a high level of customer service to Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) sites and departments regarding the status of facilities maintenance work orders. The Customer Service Specialist analyzes, determines, and resolves problems or initiates work orders. This position provides professional follow through with sites, departments, and personnel to ensure internal customer satisfaction


High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Five (5) years progressively responsible customer service experience, to include authority to resolve problems.

Experience presenting information to various size groups

Experience providing training to personnel

Word Processing/Database/Spreadsheet Program Knowledge

Verbal & Written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.


One year in a trades or maintenance working environment, and problem-solving experience.

Ability to think critically and utilize analytical skills to solve problems

Supervisory experience in a customer service environment


FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Must hold a current Arizona Driver’s license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Location: Operations Department -Broadway & Kino Parkway Area
Classification: White Collar – Grade: 9

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
