      SUMMARY
    The Director of Grants and Federal Programs will be responsible for identifying sources of grant funding and partnership opportunities in support of the mission, vision, and goals of Tucson Unified School District (TUSD). This position will be responsible for pre-award grant writing, as well as post-award monitoring of grant-funded projects to ensure successful implementation in accordance with grant contract terms and agency requirements. The Director will develop partnerships with local, state, and national businesses in support of grant opportunites as well as the programs and activities of TUSD programs. This position will direct, develop, and implement Title I programs.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Master’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field.
    Valid Arizona Administrator’s Certificate.
    Five (5) years experience administering or coordinating programs
    Three (3) years experience in successful grant proposal and development in Education, or a related field
    Experience working with community agencies, local and state governments.
    Experience developing and managing budgets
    Knowledge of Federal and States rules and regulations pertaining to funding and implementation of grants
    Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.
    Verbal & written communication skills in English
    Any combination of experience, training, or education.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Master’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field.
    Extensive knowledge of Federal funding sources, including the U.S. Department of Education
    Private fundraising experience
    Partnership development experience
    Experience working with diverse constituencies.
    Knowledge and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Accounting Standards (GAGAS), and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), or the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR).

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
    FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
    Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
