REPORTS TO
Chief Human Capital Officer
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Human Capital Officer, this leader will manage a team responsible for hiring, onboarding, compensation, employee records, substitute services, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is a creative, adaptable leader with strong communication skills, experience in organizational planning and policy implementation, and a passion for fostering a positive work environment. This role is critical to attracting, developing, and retaining a high-quality workforce dedicated to serving TUSD's students and families.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management role.
OR
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR or similar certification.
Three years of experience in a public school district or similar public organization (e.g., government).
Two years of experience using one or more of the district's specific HRIS products (specifically, Infinite Visions, SpringSchool/TalentEd, Red Rover, Frontline).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

EFFECTIVE: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: Human Resources - Broadway & Euclid Area
FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
SALARY RANGE: $85,429.09 - $99,180.51 annually
WORK CALENDAR: 12 month
