Job Description

SUMMARY

Monitors Individual Education Plan (IEP) paperwork for self-contained placement options for Psychologists and Assistant Directors, documenting profiles, correspondence with the IEP teams, service times and placement changes. Maintains databases that help determine authorization for exceptional education funding. Acts as a resource for district staff regarding exceptional education compliance issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate’s Degree in Social Services, Education, or a related field and one year of experience in general office procedures OR three years of experience of general office experience working in Exceptional Education.

One year prior experience as an Exceptional Education Compliance Technician

Strong computer skills required, including experience with Windows, database management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Basic math skills.

Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Classification: White Collar

FTE: 1.0 - 8.0 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
