Job Description

SUMMARY

Provides in-depth understanding of the functionality and design of the district’s Special Education System (SE). In this capacity, interfaces with TUSD SE users, TUSD training and support staff, TUSD software and database developers, and external (ADE) support staff. Manages long-running and off-hours data processes to fulfill TUSD business requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related area

AND

Two years experience performing training, support or configuration duties involving a student information system.

OR

Five years experience performing training, support or configuration duties involving a student information system.

Experience working with application security configuration

Solid knowledge of and experience in analysis techniques and systems analysis design. Experience in a Client/Server environment.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Substantial experience working with the Synergy SE Platform.

Ability to learn quickly, grasp new concepts and work with limited supervision. Strong problem solving skills with a disciplined and structured approach to problem resolution.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams in completion of task-specific projects.

Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Classification: Supervisory/Confidential

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
