Job Description

SUMMARY

Supervises the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire safety, security, electrical systems, and lock shop services across the district. This role focuses on supervising staff, minimizing system downtime, optimizing operational efficiency, and reducing operating costs while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining the functionality of critical systems.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

H.S Diploma or G.E.D

Five cumulative years’ experience in any of the following fields: fire safety, security systems, electrical work, or related fields.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Four years of Supervisory Experience

Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in assigned field to include:

  • NICET Level I Certification
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification or equivalent.
  • Certified Fire Alarm or Sprinkler ITM Specialist for Facility Managers.

PROGRAMMATIC AREA REQUIREMENTS

Fire Safety Systems: Supervises the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarms, fire suppression systems, emergency lighting, and fire-related safety equipment.

Security Systems: Oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.

Lock Shop Services: Manages the installation, maintenance, and repair of door locks, access control systems, and related security measures across district facilities.

Compliance and Documentation: Ensures proper documentation for inspections, repairs, upgrades, and system testing in compliance with state and federal safety regulations.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb. lift test.
Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
