Job Description

Ensures all library materials and books are processed.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Completion of at least one cataloging class.
One (1) year working in a library.
Four (4) years of "original cataloging" experience. ("Original cataloging" means creating records for books and audiovisual materials not available on any online databases, using a decision/ruled-based approach to constructing a cataloging record.)
Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification Principles, the Sears Subject Headings, the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, and the ALA filling rules.
Transcripts or official diploma must be presented at the time of hire.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training or education.

FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
