Program Coordinator- Family and Community Engagement (FACE) (Effective 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR)
Job Description
SUMMARY
Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications.
The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Program Coordinator will focus on compliance. This will include focusing on the department’s data collection systems, including the periodic reports from schools, from family resource centers, and the new family participation tracking system, reporting on results to the director and the other coordinators for use in ensuring that schools are implementing the Guidelines properly.
As a FACE Program Coordinator you will be responsible for:
- Program Planning & Coordination: Coordinating FACE programs to meet goals within limitations and developing strategic plans. This involves coordinating activities with other departments and schools.
- Compliance and Reporting: Adhering to federal and state laws, court orders (including desegregation), and District policies related to student assignment, family engagement, and potentially grants. This also involves preparing reports and records to demonstrate compliance and measure effectiveness, and monitoring school FACE activities through reviewing reports, data, and providing training.
- Family Engagement Support: Scheduling and planning resources and events at Family Resource Centers, and communicating information about these resources to families, staff, and the community.
- Partnership Development: Focusing on community engagement and developing partnerships with community organizations. Working with school staff to assist in developing community involvement.
- Training & Professional Development: Developing and coordinating family engagement training for school and District staff, including annual training on best practices and activities like two-way communication and Dr. Epstein's Six Types of Involvement.
- Will follow established protocols and guidelines, monitoring and reporting on compliance with legal requirements, including those related to desegregation, and collecting data to assess program effectiveness.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree
AND
Four years of experience administering or coordinating programs.
OR
Eight (8) years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs.
Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Location: Family and Community Engagement (Palo Verde location)
Classification: Non-Bargaining
FTE : 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
