Job Description

SUMMARY
This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the preschool programs located at elementary and K-8 schools across the district. Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objective for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications. Provides coordinating services such as student applications, placement and enrollment, professional development, collaboration with Early Childhood Education partnerships, program assessment, budgets, evaluations, board presentations, and the overall success of the preschool programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

At least 21 years of age

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or a closely related field AND four (4) years of experience administering or coordinating programs OR eight (8) years of progressive experience administerting or coordinating programs

Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs

One (1) year of supervisory experience

Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to preschool programs

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development, or closely related field

Experience managing a program and its staff


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening test, administered within 12 months before the start date; or if a candidate has had a positive test, a written statement signed and dated by a health care provider within six months before the start date stating candidate is free from infectious active tuberculosis. A negative tuberculosis screening test required is every 12 months of employment.
CPR and First Aid Certification. Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.
Blood Borne Pathogens Training
Valid Driver’s License
MVReport - showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

Classification: Exempt Coordinator

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
