Job Description

SUMMARY

Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications.

Develops, implements, administers, and maintains benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Develops benefits communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management or Human Resources, or a related field

AND two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration or related field;

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management or Human Resources, or a related field

AND five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration or related field;

OR

Ten years of progressive Human Resources / Benefits Administration experience.

Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to Human Resources or Benefits Administration.

Three (3) years supervisory experience.

Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.



PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Benefits experience in school district setting.

Knowledge of payroll and benefits legislation in a school district setting.

Experience with an HRIS Benefits Administration System, and Infinite Visions Software preferred.

SPHR Certification.

iVisions Software Experience.



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Driver's License
MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

Location: Human Resources Department - Broadway & Euclid Area
Classification: Exempt Coordinator – Grade: 3

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
