Ensures that district premises are safe and secure. Monitors the behavior of students on TUSD campuses. Maintains order and ensures district and school policies, rules and regulations are adhered to.
Two years experience working with 12-18 year old youth.
Working knowledge in the area of conflict resolution/mediation.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Post-offer/pre-employment physical exam and lift test (at employee’s own cost).
CPR and First Aid Certification
Valid AZ Driver's License required within 10 days of hire. Must not have accrued eight (8) points against driver's license in the past two years.
Satisfactory completion of phases I, II and III of Campus Monitor training within 90-days of hire.
Proof of an accredited bicycle safety course or TUSD bicycle certificate, or the ability to successfully complete the TUSD bicycle safety class within 90 days of hire.
EFFECTIVE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION - Tucson Magnet High School - 6th St & Euclid Area
1.0 FTE - 8 hours per day
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
The hiring range for external candidates will be $12.58 to $14.61 hourly, based on experience.
