    The Director of Grants and Federal Programs will be responsible for identifying sources of grant funding and partnership opportunities in support of the mission, vision, and goals of Tucson Unified School District (TUSD). The Director will act as liaison in partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies in support of grant opportunites as well as the programs and activities of TUSD programs. This position directs school leaders and staff in the implementation of Turnaround and Transformational Models; analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the Models are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications.

    Master’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field.
    Valid Arizona Administrator’s Certificate


    Any combination of the following:
    Five (5) years experience administering or coordinating programs.
    Three (3) years experience in successful grant proposal and development in Education, or a related field.
    Three (3) to five (5) years experience in school improvement.
    Three (3) to five (5) years experience with compliance monitoring.
    Experience working with community agencies, local, state and federal governments to include the Department of Education.
    Experience developing and managing budgets
    Knowledge of Federal and States rules and regulations pertaining to funding and implementation of grants

    Experience in leading professional development and supporting staff in implementation of professional development processes.
    Experience working with adult learners.
    Experience in best practice instructional strategies.
    Private fundraising experience
    Partnership development experience
    Experience working with diverse constituencies.
    Knowledge and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Accounting Standards (GAGAS), and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), or the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR).

    FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
    Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

    Salary Range: $92,423.00 - $106,334.42
    Salary commensurate with experience within the last 15 years
