Job Description

SUMMARY
Designs, installs, administers, monitors and optimizes the district’s physical and virtual servers, and related components. Ensures the availability of client/server applications, configures new implementations, and develop processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. Assists in overseeing the physical security, integrity and safety of data center.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Five years experience performing technical, analytical work in a server and data center environment.
One year of coordinating/managing technology projects required.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in the field of Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field.
Any certifications listed below and/or comprehensive knowledge of the systems listed:
Microsoft certifications: MCSA or MCSE. CompTIA certifications: Server+, Network+, Security+. Microsoft Systems Center Suite Management. VMWare systems management. PowerShell programming. Load balancer knowledge: Citrix, F5. Servers OS: WIN 2008, 2012, 2016; Desktops OS: WIN 7 and 10; Mac IOS; Android. Office 365 administration. Network Attached Storage.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Must hold a current Driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance coverage greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation.
