SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate with Early Childhood Education Endorsement

OR
Arizona Early Childhood Education Certificate (Birth through 3rd Grade)

OR

Arizona Special Education Certificate with Early Childhood Education Endorsement

AND

CURRENT Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Pre-K early learning standards implementations.
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED UPON HIRE:
Provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening test, administered within 12 months before the start date; or if a candidate has had a positive test, a written statement signed and dated by a health care provider within six months before the start date stating candidate is free from infectious active tuberculosis. A negative tuberculosis screening test is required every 12 months of employment

COMMENTS:

Location: Multiple Locations - District-wide

FTE: Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.

WORK CALENDAR: 9.5 months - 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers)

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
