Teacher Elementary - Reading Interventionist (Effective 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR)
This position is funded through the ESSER Grant. The position will end when grant funding expires. Grant is expected to last for three years
Contributes to the acceleration of our striving readers. Works extensively with students to help improve specific reading skills. Consults frequently with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses reading strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials in order promote interest in reading.
Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8 with Reading Endorsement K-8 or K-12
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Effective: 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Collier Elementary School - Tanque Verde & Bear Canyon Area
FTE: 1.0 – 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
