Job Description

This position is funded through the ESSER Grant. There is potential that this position may end when grant funding expires. The ESSER Grant is expected to last through the 2023/2024 School Year.


The online certified teacher effectively manages the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct online students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan successful online instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.


  • Arizona Special Education Cross Categorical, Mild/Moderate, or LD Certificate K-12 OR
  • Arizona Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle Grades OR Secondary Certificate WITH Mild-Moderate Special Education Endorsement, PreK-12 OR
  • Arizona Special Education - Hearing Impaired, Visually Impaired, Early Childhood Special Education OR Moderate/Severe Disabilities WITH Mild-Moderate Special Education Endorsement, PreK-12
  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Certain endorsement/approved areas(s) may be required for highly qualified/appropriately certified purposes.


Experience teaching in a virtual environment.
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.


Effective: 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Online

FTE: 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
