    SUMMARY
    Collaborates with Classroom Teacher to provide program enrichment classes in a specified world language at an elementary or middle school level.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Arizona Elementary Certtificate K-8 with Spanish Approved Area
    Structured English Immersion (SEI) requirement
    Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
    Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
    Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
    Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

    ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
    Collaborates with Classroom Teachers regarding student progress.
    Meets regularly with Classroom Teachers to design and refine world language and culture enrichment.
    Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
    Meets with the World Languages Specialist at least once a quarter to assess enrichment progress.
    Adheres to all court orders, state and federal laws, and District policies and regulations.

    LOCATION - Language Acquisition/Fruchthendler ES - Cloud & Sabino Canyon Area
    0.6 FTE - 4.5 hours per day
    9.5 month position

    Temporary Contracts are issued after Labor Day and/or for vacancies of .6 FTE or less for the remainder of the school year only. Temporary Contracts may be eligible for conversion.

    Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
