Technical Writer (Effective 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR)
Under supervision of a program manager, develops/creates, plans, updates, and manages documents or Help Systems for TUSD computer systems and software. Develops end-user training materials.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Computer Science, or related field.
Three (3) years experience writing technical documentation.
Strong typing and computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Publisher, or similar desktop publishing, word processing or spreadsheet programs.
Prior experience with Web publishing skills with applications such as Dreamweaver.
Prior experience in translating technical information from computer systems and programmers into end user terms.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training or education.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Effective: 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Communication & Media Department - Broadway & Park Area
FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
