Job Description

SUMMARY
Ensures that district premises are safe and secure. Responds to all incoming security calls according to established policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two years of law enforcement or security experience.
Must be willing and able to carry and use all security weapons, to include a firearm.
Must be international police mountain bike association (IPMBA) certified or able to become TUSD bicycle certified.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work occasional overtime and/or extended duty hours due to the need to cover large scale security, emergency or other unforeseen events.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Must qualify with firearm according to Arizona Police Officer Standard and Training guidelines upon hire.
CPR and First Aid Certification.
Must hold a current Arizona Driver’s license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Physical Examination to be done by one of the clinics with which the District contracts (Category B) and sign a Medical History form.
Must submit to a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
Post-offer/pre-employment lift test.

Location: Site - School Safety & Security - 1100 W. Fresno St
Classification: Blue Collar

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

2 PM Shift positions available

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
